I just realised that the name of the disgraced ex-Prime Minister of Iceland is Geir Haarde.
Geir Haarde was found guilty of “failing to hold emergency cabinet meetings in the runup to the crisis”. His name is humorously similar to the name of another politician from slightly further back in the past of a slightly different calibre.
Between 2000 and 2007, wage share of national income in Germany fell from 72% to 64%. (Since 2007 labour share has been increasing again.) But this fall is really dramatic. Wage share of national income general stays around 0.7 of national income a drop from 0.72 to 0.64 is really sharp.
